About deep groove ball bearings

Deep Groove ball bearings are the most popular type of bearing, from miniature bearings in Dentist drills, up to extremely large bearings used in cranes.

Deep groove ball bearings are simple in design, being able to accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions, non-separable, and capable of operating at high speeds. They require little attention or maintenance while in service, these characteristics, coupled with a price advantage make deep groove ball bearings the most popular choice for engineers.

Deep groove ball bearings are most commonly supplied with steel, brass, or plastic cages. They are available with unsealed or with rubber seals, metal shields, non-contact seals, as well as snap ring and groove.

If extra load capabilities are required, deep groove ball bearings are available in with a double row of balls and also with filling slot to create a “Max load” type.

Applications for deep groove ball bearings include:

Skateboards, bicycles, turbines, automotive, electric motors, farming equipment, turntables, machine tools, washing machines
